Terry Young OBITUARY

Terry Young OBITUARY

Terry Young 74, passed away peacefully September 10, 2024 surrounded by the love of his life and several of his closest friends. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he shared a large loving family of siblings and their spouses, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Thelma Ashton, Dow Young and Bill Ashton. Also, preceded was his sister Bonnie and brother Jerry and of course Chief Running Bear and Dancing Flower!

Upon high school graduation Terry began a 20-year naval career. During that time he became a nuclear submariner and retired off of the USS Cincinnati as a Senior Chief, machinist mate with numerous honors and distinction. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 392.

Upon retiring Terry bought and worked Casey’s Pub for 32 years. During that time he built numerous friendships and was often heard saying “what’s the temperature out there”. To my cringe and dismay everyone fell for it. And of course he would break out singing The Rodeo song. He loved the beach, traveling, The Price is Right with his sidekick

Pat, but above all his family and his animals. Terry will be so missed by many that loved him. Kiss the fish and fly high my love, fly high until we meet again. Go Giants.

A memorial service for Terry will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2024 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Online condolences may be offered to the family at hdoliver.com.
