Paying tribute to the remarkable life of Douglas Harrington Hall, a Virginia Beach resident who inspired countless lives with his zest for life before his passing on September 7, 2024, at the age of seventy. Born in Tampa, Florida, to the late Robert S Hall and Violet Hall, his family’s move to Ohio ignited a journey of self-discovery. He graduated from Berea High School and boldly served in the Navy in the late 70s, leading him to Norfolk, Virginia. After years in the insurance business, he discovered his love for construction. Doug’s passions motorcycling, boating, and working with his hands earned him the nickname ‘real-life MacGyver,’ a testament to his ingenuity. His memory will be cherished by his loving partner, Sherry Arcese, her daughter Lauren Arcese, brother Robert Hall (Diane), sister Linda Maurer, and several nieces and a nephew.
