Robert Franklin (Frank) Unger OBITUARY

Robert Franklin Unger, age 85, of Norfolk, VA, died peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Frank was the son of Robert and Bessie Will (Elrod) Unger in Westminster, MD. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Anne-Marie Werner (David), Franklin Unger (Kirsten), and Paul Unger, sister-in-law Eleanor Unger, sister-in-law Dolores Davis (James), brother-in-law August Zinkl (Debra), five grandchildren: Graham, Henry, Andrew, Meredith, and Marek, as well as six nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and friends. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Anita, brother Maurice Unger, parents Bessie Will and Robert Unger, parents-in-law August and Rose Zinkl, and nephew James Davis III.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 201 St Paul’s Blvd, Norfolk, VA with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and a reception following the service.
