Carol Sue Rowland Cearley OBITUARY

Carol Sue Rowland Cearley OBITUARY

May 19, 1940 – September 12, 2024

In the early morning of Thursday, September 12th, Carol Sue Cearley was escorted into Heaven and was met with a joyous homecoming party surrounded by angels.

Carol was born in Creek County, Oklahoma and raised in the city of Bristow. Carol is preceded in death by her parents John Wesley Rowland and Twila Naomi Glander Rowland as well as her sister Linda Kaye Rowland Carman.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Virgil Richard (Dick) Cearley. Their love was one for the storybooks and is a true testament that when you put God first in your relationship, everything else falls into place. Their love for God, for each other and for their family has set an example for all who have been blessed to know them throughout the years.

Carol leaves a Legacy of Love with her three children and their families, whom she (along with Dick) prayed for often, naming each one, and who will remember her fondly and never forget the things she taught them and the smiles she shared.

She is survived by her children, Sherri Gabrielson (Scott), Sandy Koch (Bill), and Greg Cearley (Carlene); six grandchildren, Joshua Gabrielson (Carole), Teresa Davis (Evan), Rick Gabrielson (Victoria), Andy Koch (Shelley), Chandler Cearley (gf, Katia) and Caroline Cearley (bf, Luis); and by five great grandchildren, Juliana Gabrielson, Lyana Davis, Nathaniel Gabrielson, Madeline Gabrielson, and Camille Porter.

A graveside service will be held at 9am on Saturday, September 21st at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, located at 512 Cedar Road in Chesapeake, Virginia. Arrangements by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel in Chesapeake.
