Sierra Hunt tallied 14 kills and Ellielynn Rock served six aces for the Grizzlies (3-3). Landyn Smith had 28 assists and Ryann Botoff had 20 digs.

Western Branch d. Lakeland, 3-0

Western Branch’s Takota McFarlin and Keira Wright made seven and four kills, respectively, and Lexi Anderson served six aces for the Bruins.

Nansemond River’s Caydence Parker scored two goals, Brayden Johnston had a goal, Anyia Woods had a goal and an assist, Caitlin Outlaw scored two goals and had an assist, and Jordan White had a goal and two assists. Brylee Johnston added an assist. Kylee Gorham had the Cavaliers’ goal.

Great Bridge’s Lexi Curtis scored, assisted by Bella Steckline. Goalie Cam Johnson shutout Grassfield with three saves, and Olivia Young made three defensive saves.

Elizabeth Trant scored five goals for the Islanders. Anabelle Simmons and Grace Oates scored the other two.

Gracie White led the Falcons with three goals and an assist, followed by Natalie Moss and Sloan Beach with two goals each. Lana Quick and Carissa Beales also added goals for York.

Non-district

Tallwood 2, Norfolk Collegiate 1, OT

McKenna Townsley and Cora Doty each scored for the Lions, who were a player down in overtime. Sophie Adams and Belle Perez, as well as Maddie Weiss in midfield, led Tallwood’s defense.

Katie Dixon, Annabelle Topping and Lily Schroeder scored for the Commodores. Emmie Wesley recorded three saves and earned her first shutout of the year.

Addison Poul scored for the Braves off a penalty stroke. Freshman goalie I’yanna Porter recorded her third shutout in a row.

Oscar Smith 2, King’s Fork 0

Senior and captain Sophia Dortch earned a goal and an assist. Captain Eleanor Close scored the second goal for the Tigers.

Hickory’s Jason Leary totaled 14 assists, four kills and two digs, while Carson Tortone finished with five kills, six aces and nine digs. Grady Hagen had six kills and five aces, Will Katchmark collected five kills and four digs, and Logan Kennedy executed 11 digs.

Churchland d. Manor, 3-1

Alex Latham scored 16 points and had more than 10 assists for the Truckers, and Carter Grimsley totaled five service points in the fourth set. Jayce Taylor scored 17 points and delivered four attacks in the fourth set.
