Cédric Desruisseaux had a goal and two assists and Lukas Svejkovsky and Jordan Martel added a goal and assist each as the Wheeling Nailers defeated the Norfolk Admirals 5-3 Saturday night before 2,307 fans at WesBanco Arena in West Virginia.
Justin Robidas scored his third goal in two days and Denis Smirnov and Andrew McLean also found the back of the net for the Admirals (15-10-2-1), who dropped to four points behind first-place Adirondack in the ECHL North Division.
McLean, Stepan Timofeyev, Simon Kubicek, Ryan Foss, Danny Katic and Justin Young had an assist each.
Wheeling goalie Jaxon Castor made 26 saves to earn the victory as the Nailers outshot the Admirals 31-29.
The two teams will conclude the two-game series at 6:10 p.m. Sunday.
