Christian Rush hit for the cycle and Joe Delossantos belted two homers and drove in six runs as William & Mary dominated Elon 20-1 in a college baseball game Saturday in North Carolina.
Rush singled in the first inning, hit a two-run homer in the sixth, doubled in the eighth and tripled in the ninth to become the first William & Mary player to hit for the cycle since 2007. He finished with three RBIs and four runs.
The Tribe (27-21, 10-11 CAA) salvaged the final game in the series after being swept in a doubleheader Friday.
Delossantos hit a two-run shot in the fourth and a grand slam to cap a seven-run ninth.

Christopher Newport 6, Salisbury 1: Dylan Weber tossed a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts to improve to 8-1 as the No. 10 Captains knocked off the No. 5 Sea Gulls to close their regular season and clinch the top seed in next weekend’s Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament.
Lincoln Lubsen went 3 for 4 with an RBI and Ayden Stuffel added two hits and two RBIs for CNU (25-9, 2-2).
Fairleigh Dickinson 10, Norfolk State 4: Nate Dudeck went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Zac Capps pitched seven strong innings as the Knights (18-27) swept a three-game series from the Spartans in Norfolk.
Swaroop Pujari hit a two-run homer and Jamal Ritter and Collin Curry each hit solo shots for NSU (11-35). Curry finished with three hits and two runs.
Virginia Tech 14-14, Ohio 1-2: Gehrig Ebel went 4 for 6 with two homers and seven RBIs and former Ocean Lakes High star Carson DeMartini went 4 for 8 with six RBIs as the Hokies swept a doubleheader in Blacksburg.
Brett Renfrow (6-2) tossed five scoreless innings to pick up the victory in the first game, while Jeremy Neff (1-1) gave up two runs in 5.1 innings for the win in the second game.
Apprentice School 19-15, Lighthouse Christian 9-3: The Builders (39-8) swept two games in the championship round to win the New South Athletic Conference Tournament.
After being shut out by Lighthouse (5-29) in the opening round, Apprentice twice beat the Makos of Pensacola, Florida, to finish 4-1 in the tournament and claim its first NSAC title.
A deeper bullpen proved the difference, with both games being decided by the 10-run rule.
Apprentice (39-8) awaits to see its opponent in next week’s U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series.

VWU goes to 2-0 in ODAC tourney
Emma Adams tossed a five-hitter to improve to 17-1 and Mackenzie Myers had three hits and three RBIs as top seed Virginia Wesleyan blanked Lynchburg 6-0 in the ODAC Softball Tournament on Saturday at TowneBank Park in Virginia Beach.
Sarah Prosser and Alison Pollack added two hits and an RBI each for the Marlins (32-7), who improved to 2-0 in the tournament.
Adams struck out six and walked none.
Christopher Newport 3-4, Salisbury 2-1: Jamie Martin pitched a four-hitter in the second game as the Captains (27-5) extended their win streak to 13 games by sweeping a doubleheader at home.
Kate Alger pitched six strong innings and Jules Donnelly hit a solo homer in the first game. Alger allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
In the second game, Katie Currin and Brooke Greaver each hit solo homers for CNU.
Hampton 4, Towson 3: Carmynn Bonner hit a two-run homer and Jordan Scott pitched 5.2 solid innings to lead the Pirates (17-35) to a victory at home in their season finale. Scott allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits.
