A man has died of gunshot injuries after he was shot at Community Beach Park in Ocean View on Wednesday.
Norfolk police responded to reports of a shooting at the park at 700 E. Ocean View Ave. around 6:20 p.m. After arriving at the scene, officers were notified that 20-year-old Andrew F. Saafi had arrived at the hospital with life-threatening wounds. Police determined that Saafi had been shot at the park, and he later died at the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip using the P3Tips mobile app.
