A man in Hampton was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Rip Rap Road.
Hampton police said officers responded to the 100 block after hearing gunshots in the area just before midnight. At the scene, officers found a car that had been hit during the shooting, and the man inside had several gunshot wounds.
Police have not released the man’s identity or what may have led to the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to call 757–727–6111 or the Crime Line at 1–888-LOCK-U-UP.
