A 22-year-old man has been identified by Portsmouth police as the second suspect in a fatal Sept. 3 shooting on South Street.
Police are searching for Marceon Javante Davis, who has been charged with first-degree murder and malicious wounding in connection to the double shooting that left 21-year-old Jaquan White dead and injured person another.

White was found suffering from a gunshot wound around 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of South Street, near where the road intersects with Green Street. He died at the scene.
Police later classified the incident as a double shooting after a second victim was found approximately one mile away, near the 1700 block of LaSalle Avenue. The second victim, a man, had a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening. There has been no update on his condition.
Davis is one of two suspects charged in the case. The other suspect, 22-year-old Johnathan Jamar Thomas, was charged Friday with second-degree murder and malicious shooting in connection with the homicide.

Both men are still at large.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Davis or Thomas are asked to call the Portsmouth police investigations Bureau at 757-393-8536 or to submit an anonymous tip at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
